How does TBE handle exposure?

Exposure is handled slightly differently in TBE with respect to Betfair.

On Betfair, the exposure is increased for each bet that increases the liability. When backing each individual bet increases the liability and, therefore, increases the exposure. When laying, however, the exposure is only increased by the liability of the largest lay bet - i.e. if you have one lay bet with a liability of £100 and another lay bet with a liability of £150 then the exposure will only be £150.

On TBE, the exposure is increased for each bet (regardless of whether it is a back or a lay bet). Taking the previous example, TBE would see the exposure as £250 (£100 + £150).

Due to this, if you are using a virtual bank, then you should ensure that it is large enough to cater for this increased exposure level.
