Installing a second copy of TheBetEngine onto a PC that contains an existing installation
To install two copies of TheBetEngine on a single PC, then you need:
1. Two TBE licences.
2. Two Betfair accounts.
A second TBE licence can be taken out from the web site at http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/subscriptions.htm
Registration of the second account is a manual process so, once the subscription has been taken out, you should contact support to get the second account activated.
Each copy of TBE will be registered to a single Betfair account. Each copy of TheBetEngine MUST be installed into a separate folder to prevent them from interacting with each other.
Updating the shortcut for the first copy of TBE
1. Locate the shortcut to TheBetEngine on your desktop and rename it to TBE1.
Installing The Second Copy of TBE
1. Download a second copy of TBE using the download INCLUDING the database at http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads.htm
2. Install the second copy into C:\BetDynamics\TheBetEngine2 (note the 2 on the end of the folder name)
3. Locate the shortcut to TheBetEngine (a new shortcut will have been produced) and rename it to TBE2.
Always start the first copy of TBE using the shortcut named TBE1, then login in using the first TBE account name (plus associated Betfair username and password)
Always start the second copy of TBE using the shortcut named TBE2, then log in using the second TBE account name (plus associated Betfair username and password)
If you start both copies of TBE from a single shortcut, then two copies will end up writing their data to the same location, i.e. your betting log and settings will be overwritten.
