Stake/liability exceeded

This is not an error message. Instead it indicates that bets were identified but subsequently discarded by TheBetEngine.

There are a few possible causes for this message:

1. You are attempting to bet at BSP but using a stake (or liability) below the Betfair minimum and the "Below Min" setting on the BSP options is set to "Discard". Betfair does not allow BSP betting below the minimum, so TheBetEngine discards the bets before sending them. Change the "Below Min" setting to "Adjust" and TheBetEngine will adjust the stake/liability to the Betfair minimum.

OR

2. You are attempting to bet at BSP but the liability of the bet is greater than the liability specified on the BSP options. If the "Above Max" setting is set to "Discard" then the bet will be discarded. Change the "Above Max" setting to "Adjust" (TheBetEngine will adjust the liability to the specified value) or "Allow bet" (TheBetEngine will place the bet).

OR

3. There is an exposure issue where there are insufficient available funds in order to place the bet.  In most cases, this is caused by the use of a virtual bank and the value of the virtual bank being too low for the bets being placed. You can reset the virtual bank in the staking dialog box.

OR

4. You are trying to bet on the Australian markets and your Australian wallet is empty (similarly, you could be attempting to bet on the UK market and your UK market is empty).

OR

5. You have set a max liability on the Criteria page and your bets exceed that liability.

OR

6. You are attempting to use a recovery staking plan when dutching. Not all staking plans support dutching (for example, Kelly staking).
